TAHNIAH, PETRA telah lulus pada 17 Ogos 2009!

Salam dan selamat berpuasa, PPS telah meluluskan pendaftaran PETRA dalam mesyuarat PPS pada 17 Ogos yang lepas. Sijil akan disampaikan secara rasmi dalam upacara khas yang akan diadakan dalam tempoh terdekat kelak. Saya cuti sakit sejak 2 minggu lepas oleh itu tiada sebarang berita yang dikemaskini dalam blog persatuan. Agak mengembirakan kerana proses pendaftaran hingga lulus tidak sampai 2 bulan, dalam lingkungan 46 hari sahaja (3 Julai - 17 Ogos). Terima kasih pada pn. Norhana yang sentiasa berhubung dan memberi kerjasama yang sewajarnya dalam proses kelulusan PETRA ini.

Anggota Baru PETRA

PETRA akan menerima kehadiran seorang lagi ahli baru Sdr. Mohammad Mohsein Zulkiflee, berjawatan Pembantu Belia dan Sukan Perbadanan Putrajaya yang bersedia menghulurkan sumbang bakti pada persatuan kerana minat, kesungguhan dan keikhlasan secara sukarela dalam sukan air bermotor ini. Latarbelakang beliau memang seorang atlit cemerlang dalam Silat Olahraga, Karate da Taekwando. Tugas hakiki beliau adalah menyelaras acara-acara sukan air dikompleks Sukan Air Presint 6 dan Presint 8. Beliau akan dijemput dan dilantik secara rasmi dalam mesyuarat PETRA pada minggu hadapan. Semoga kehadiran beliau dapat memberi sumbangan besar dan bermakna pada PETRA.

Persembahan Waterski depan PM pada 12 Ogos 2009

Dear Pipa and Trainees’ Parents,

We have now complete details after the 2 day meeting with the PM’s department on the above event. It is apparently quite a significant event where PM will launch the nation wide flying of our Jalur Gemilang at a water base environment with the whole cabinet attending with him after their Wednesday Cabinet meeting.

Waterski has secured the pride of place as the lead off procession followed by jetskis, bomba boats, rowing etc against a cruise tasik vessel and dondang saying vessels at the background all fully attired with the Malaysian flags.

So, waterski is a ski past of 5 young skiers all skiing behind the boat carrying the Malaysian flag and waving at the VVIPs at the podium as they ski past the grandstands...sort of like a Dataran Merdeka march pass. There are many other water borne sports and vessels not included in this display due to time constraints (like Formula Future and sailing etc.) – therefore we should all be very proud of that.

The whole committee of the MWSF and other parents and trainees not involved in the actual ski past itself are invited to this important function where all the printed and TV as well as international media will be present.

Here is the schedule of what we need to do:

1.0 Skiers (the youngest 5 skiers who are capable will do it if they are available): Aaliyah (age 6), Anakin (age 7), Hadi (age 9), Hanis (age 10) and Fatin (age 13). They will all need to start together with the Malaysian flag clipped in their life jacket at the 500m mark on the left as we stand in the stadium looking towards Maritime Centre. Upon starting all 5 to take our the little flags and start waving them with one hand as the ski past passes the grandstands.

2.0 Skiers to standby in case any of the above who cannot make it even if they have trained for it. These 3 skiers should also be training with the group: Farra (10), Ariff (13) and Shamal (14). Also standing by (these are those who cannot do the ski past due to their prior commitments as stated by their parent) are: Syahir (10), Syakirah (13) and Nadiah (14).

3.0 Practices schedule: 1st Practice - Saturday, 8th Aug 2009 at 9am; 2nd Practice – Sunday, 9th Aug 2009 at 9am, 3rd Practice – Wednesday, 12th Aug 2009 (day of launch) at 11am.

4.0 Launch Programme:

1.13pm – arrival of VIPs

1.30pm – arrival of PM & Cabinet

1.35pm – Negara-ku by choir

1.40pm – Doa Selamat

1.45pm Song “1Malaysia by Roy”

1.50pm – Ski Past followed by Jetskis and other boats.

2.10pm to 4.00pm – Giving out Jalur Gemilang to NGOs, public sector and private sector groups. Press Conference and refreshments etc. Etc.
